Open College Network (OCN) Accreditations

The Open College Network Northern Ireland (OCN NI) is a national Awarding Organisation based in Northern Ireland. They are regulated by Ofqual1 and offer nationally accredited vocational qualifications from Entry Level to Level 5 across all sector areas. BAC is an OCN NI recognised centre for delivering and accrediting OCN qualifications.

 

OCN Level 1 - Leadership in the Community

LinC course aims to provide training and resources for individuals who are working, or wanting to work in a community or with a community group, to enable them to become active leaders and initiators of change. This course is suitable for those working in a voluntary capacity or wishing to develop a career within youth or community work.

OCN Level 2 - Drug and Alcohol Awareness

The OCN Drugs and Alcohol course aims to provide training and resources for individuals who are looking to learn more about drugs and alcohol and its effects on all aspects of life. This course is suitable in a voluntary capacity or as a step towards developing a career in youth work or any drug and alcohol intervention related roles.

Belfast City Council presently fund 2 programmes for North and South Belfast under the Police and Community Safety Partnership small grant scheme.
